Welcome To Erindale!

Welcome to the website of Erindale, a housing complex located in Wishart – about 20 minutes south-east of the Brisbane central business district, within walking distance of well recognised schools, 15 minutes to Brisbane Airport, about 20 minutes from three large hospitals and just over 20 minutes to Manly Harbour or Bayside.

Whether a resident or owner within Erindale, we trust you will find what you need on the site. If a visitor to the site, then we hope you learn a little more about life in the Erindale community.

25+ Years and getting better: Established in the 1990s, Erindale is a community with a growing history and is currently going through a renewal period. For example, our long unused and neglected ‘easement’ on the western boundary is slowly being integrated into the complex, providing space for a community garden, utility areas, more space for children, a dog friendly area and potentially other benefits for our residents.

Diversity: The residents within Erindale are as diverse as the broader Australian community. Some residents spend little time within the complex, others are very engaged with the community. We take pride in the significant number of residents who have rented in the complex and then become owners. Residents’ reasons for choosing Erindale vary from the easy access to high performing schools, the open green spaces, the sense of security, and units with private outdoor space.

Family friendly: Children have been born, played, developed  friendship groups, and grown up here. Many parents, grandparents and residents, combine to keep an eye out for others while ensuring the complex is a safe place for children to play. On summer afternoons the pool is a meeting place, while the tennis court doubles as a basketball court, soccer pitch, handball court, and a training ground for scooters, balance bikes and almost anything else with wheels. More importantly it is a meeting place, not only for the children but for the extended families.

Renewal: Having history means the complex has needed to renew or freshen itself up from time to time. It is currently doing that in a number of ways. The recently resurfaced pools and new pool decks have been the start of works to renovate the tennis court and pool areas.  The maturing of the community garden, the replanting of common area gardens approaching end of life, more opportunities for residents to enjoy the grounds and the community itself are all part of this renewal. Importantly the complex is preparing for the future needs of residents.
