Parking can occasionally be an issue for some residents. Mostly the residents resolve the issue themselves. Being prepared to walk a short distance to alternative parking can solve a lot of the problems. Here is 10 things to know.
- All parking spaces in the complex are free to be used and are not allocated to any Unit or Unit holder … despite what some Real Estate agents tell potential buyers.
- The parking spaces are not for commercial vehicles especially larger ones. If there are complaints or parking becomes congested in an area the owners will be asked to move the vehicles.
- If you can’t find a park right next to your unit then it is likely there is a park just a short walk elsewhere in the complex. Remember to be positive, any exercise is good for you.
- The complex is not a vehicle storage place for friends and family while they are away. Yes, people (non-residents) sometimes do this and when it happens it irritates neighbours … a lot.
- Use your driveway when you can. It helps everybody.
- Don’t park on the lawns. Not only will it eventually damage the lawn but soon the idea spreads and the your area will look like a messy congested car park.
- Don’t park in places that block peoples vision. Safety before a minor convenience!
- If you intend using more than one visitor park then be considerate of your neighbours. Don’t use up most of the spaces in your immediate vicinity. Look elsewhere, you will very probably find somewhere that has less parking pressure.
- If you have a lot of vehicles in your household then you may be asked to park one outside the complex if parking congestion occurs.
- If you are having an event that has more than one or two visitors, then it is best that you ask your visitors to park on the street. From the street it is less than three minutes walk to the furtherest units.
