We have been working on a website for a while now. The goal is to inform residents, keep them up to date on developments, works and some events. It will be particularly useful for newer residents. And this our first news update!
No To Social Media!: The choice of a website and blog was a natural one. Discussions with residents found many were not happy with any particular social media platform or messaging application eg. not everyone is on Facebook and nor do they want to be. With a bit of time and development we believe we can make this work for the majority of residents (particularly once we add email).
For The Residents: Websites are often used as a marketing tool for housing developments and complexes however that is not the primary purpose of this site. Informing residents and creating an active community are our top priorities. You will notice the Community Garden group has taken a high profile on the site and I expect there will be other interests emerge in the next few months.
